What We Did

Oldest_JokeBook_2The brief from Yudu.com, the digital publishing site, was to win profile and visitors.

Our response included turning the world’s oldest joke book, dating from 4th Century AD Greece, into the first multi-media joke-book, complete with video of comic Jim Bowen performing the jokes in a London comedy club – and publishing the result on Yudu.

But what won most attention was highlighting that one of the book’s jokes was a 4th century ancestor of Monty Python’s famous Dead Parrot sketch.

Outcome

Sun_2Huge global coverage, both mainstream and viral, delivering 117,000 Google search results.

This coverage in turn drove heavy traffic to Yudu.com, helping the site double its visitor numbers during a three-month period, when it also rose over 38,000 places on the Alexa.com rankings.
