What We Did

BBC_News_8The brief from VisitScotland, Scotland’s national tourist body, was to devise innovative ways to keep Scotland “top-of-mind” during VisitScotland’s Spring Short Breaks Campaign.

Our response included marketing Scotland as the UFO capital of the world and “the Costa del Sol for aliens”. We used “International UFO Day” to publish a world league table of UFO hot-spots… topped by Scotland, with most sightings per square kilometre.

The UFO story, complete with gorgeous images of the rolling Scottish countryside, featured on UK network TV 17 times on the first day alone, plus every national radio station, a range of national papers, news agencies … and on websites and TV around the world.
