What We Did
Our response included turning the world’s oldest joke book, dating from 4th Century AD Greece, into the first multi-media joke-book, complete with video of comic Jim Bowen performing the jokes in a London comedy club – and publishing the result on Yudu.
But what won most attention was highlighting that one of the book’s jokes was a 4th century ancestor of Monty Python’s famous Dead Parrot sketch.
This coverage in turn drove heavy traffic to Yudu.com, helping the site double its visitor numbers during a three-month period, when it also rose over 38,000 places on the Alexa.com rankings.
